Chapter 48-
Joe- (sighs) Okay I know you dont want to talk to me but, please just call me when you get this. Ash, please, bye. (hangs up and throws phone at wall)
Joe sat on his hotel bed, glumly flipping through channels. They all had something boring on, so he flipped to good old MTV and settled down. The program ran on, only to add to his pain with a intermission from a news report.
TV- and now back to the top story. Joe Jonas was spotted with ex-girlfriend AJ Michalka from the group Aly & AJ yesterday at a concert in New Jersey. This picture (picture of Joe and AJ kissing pops up) was taken right after the Jonas boys got off stage. Are they back together or
Joe flips off the TV before it could add anything else to his guilt building up inside him. He was about to get back up when Nick ran in, face red and fuming.
Nick- JOE! HOW COULD YOU KISS AJ?! YOU HATE HER!
Joe- (sighs) I do, but she kissed me! And then I dont know who took the picture but still! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH MOUTHWASH I HAD TO USE LAST NIGHT?!
Nick- That explains the giant empty bottle in the bathroom which was mine.
Joe- Well, sorry it was an emergency!
Nick- Have you told Ashley?
Joe- She must have seen it on TV, because she called me about an hour ago and (looks down)
Nick- What?
Joe- She broke up with me.
Nick- (scratches head) This is worse than I thought.
Joe- You think?! (slumps down in bed) I dont wanna leave here. She didnt believe me when I told her I was sorry. Okay, you know what? Ive said enough. If she wants to hate me, let her. I probably deserve it. (gets up and walks out)
Nick- Okay? (Joe walks out) (smacks head) Ive GOT to get better talking to Joe. Keep it simple keep it simple. (walks out muttering under his breath)
**SKIPPING AHEAD a few months when the tour is just about over**
Mari and Virginia were out somewhere, while Ashley sat on her bed crying. She had no idea what was about to happen. How could Joe do that to her? She thought he loved her. But she was mistaken. Joe had left numerous messages on her cell, all asking her to let him explain and call him back. Her tears were falling freely by just the thought of Joe and AJ. She may not have officially met AJ, but from this impression she didnt seem like the best person on earth. She picked up her phone, and it simultaneously started buzzing. She blocked the call and fell back in her bed. She turned on her TV and just stared, mesmerized at the screen, wide-eyed and sad.
In the meantime, the Jonas Brothers were performing in Los Angeles. Joe was doing what he does best, singing and falling. But not as well as he would have done a couple months ago. Finally Burning Up ended, and Joe grabbed a guitar. Nick and Kevin looked at eachother confused but went along with it, and Joe finally spoke.
Joe- Okay, heres a new song Ive never played before, and it goes to someone special, you know who you are. (Ashleys watching this live on MTV [hehe])
(starts singing I Gotta Find You)

(Joe looks around at Nick and Kevin, who are standing there gawking like idiots. Kevin snaps out of it and walks over to Nick and shakes him, making Nick snap out of it quickly and fall on his butt. The audience laughs but Joe keeps singing through the chorus while his brothers make the scene behind him)
You're the remedy I'm searching hard to find
To fix the puzzle that I see inside

(Nick walks up next to Joe with a microphone, rubbing his sore spot and singing along with him to the chorus, and Joe stops singing to breathe, Nick sings solo)

(Kevin helps finish the song with extra guitar help. When the song is finished, Joe looks straight into a camera and says simply)
Joe- Ive gotta find you, again.
