Using Giggity, the analog mastering preamp for guitar, we dialed up a thick Tele sound in the MOON setting.

A Fender Tweed Deluxe was used with the speaker mic'd in another room via a Rode NTK Tube Mic and Avalon 737 channel strip into Pro Tools 10 HD. Spring reverb courtesy the Strymon blueSky pedal running in front of the amp.

NOTE: We recommend watching this video at 480p and higher for better audio quality.

  • @IntelligentProbe yes reverb but more so delay in the mix for the EJ sound.

  • I picked up both the Giggity and Sparkle Drive Mod, and they both are great sounding, however I can't seem to get the EJ tone? I do not yet have a reverb pedal and my amp has no reverb (Egnater Tweaker Combo). Is this my problem most likely? Is the reverb a big part of the EJ tone? Also, with so many reverbs to choose from, which would you recommend to help get that Eric Johnson tone?

  • James, I am LOVING your vids! Nicely done!
