Love this camera, have one myself. Try getting a small piece of foam sheeting to put over the mic hole to stop the wind distortion. Should try it myself! For the most part, I gave up on trying to capture the real sea/wind sounds, and bought a few great sound effects that work very well. I really had to search to find the surf and wind sound to match the pictures, though.
