  • @blinkbiker87 sorry i just noticed he skipped the second last draw and the top out, this is indeed dangerous. But really the only dangerous part of the video

  • @Northernblades And skipping the last draw isnt a huge deal because the route is overhanging....if someone were to fall near the end the swing is safe. Are you just trolling climbing videos looking for things that are wrong?

  • @Northernblades Not sure what you mean here...i have seen people use the rope over the shoulder lots of times while clipping the first draw, it brings the rope closer for clipping. You imply the 'rope around the neck' is dangerous, but the rope is not attached to anything and barely touches his neck. The rope leading to the belayer runs straight down, so in the event of a fall, the force will only pull up, like its supposed to be.

  • @Northernblades Oh okay. I didn't know that. I'm so proud of you. LOL

  • @grasseater108 I have no problems finding people to climb with. I walk into a gym in another city, and by the end of the day I have several invites out to local craigs that I never would have found. When I find other people out climbing who want to climb with me, Most eventualy understand, and respect the fact that I insisted on belay testing them. I have a line up of new climber, just itchin to put up with my crap, for the opportunity to climb with me. you have no clue.

  • @Northernblades Dude, you have the worst attitude towards climbing. If you walked into any climbing environment with so much negativity not a single climber would want to climb with you. Not one.

  • MAN, I am not waching close enough. I have not even brough up the jeans, the white belt, or that hat. I am sorry.

You have my most sincerest of apologies

  • the best view of his knot is roughtly 0:20-0:30

  • The rope over the shoulder trick, I have seen rarely, and seldom amongst formaly trained climbers.

The rope around the neck trick, thats new to me.

The belayer is standing too far back from the wall. for the entire time you can see the belayer and as you pointed out, he stipped the last draw.

As we have tried to say in far too many words, A terrible example, of everyting, and such behavior would likely get him a warning, or removed from the gym.

That knot would not pas belay test
