In the summer of 1991 this commercial was shown on TV and it was amazing to see an advertisement about a movie consisting of the most talented Black and Latino men and women and their creative forum they called Ballroom. The movie Paris is Burning is based on the notorious ball given once a year by the Pioneerring ICON PARIS DUPREE. The ball itself was the Creme De La Creme of all balls given througout the year. IF you never walked or won a trophy at a Paris is Burning ball then you havent done anything at a ball. This week we celebrate the 30th anniversary of ICON PARIS DUPREE and her Paris is Burning ball On Friday July 30th in Harlem which is origin of Drag Ballroom competition started amongst Black and Latino gay, transgendered, bisexual, and heterosexual men and women in the late 60's early 70's.

  • @queercat That's true, but I just think they could of guided themselves to a better lifestyle and if not live with what they had but in the right way, it's complicated I just hope this generation is smarter and hold on to their relationships with family and and still have fun, because I do agree we need to have fun in life but try and live a normal and honest life then live it up knowing you have a home and family to go back to.

  • @Storywithin People do the best with what they got. They may have died young, but while they were alive, they lived it up!
