Stay Awake [from Mary Poppins] cover - Julie Andrews

A cover of 'Stay Awake', originally from the Walt Disney masterpiece Mary Poppins. I've always loved this song. Julie Andrews is someone who has had an incredible influence on me since I was a child, in terms of theatre, film and music. To me she is the epitome of elegance and class and, although not without her faults (no one can be practically perfect outside of Disney after all!), she's a beautiful woman with a hell of a lot of talent who has always put her family first.

I've wanted to record this song for ages, and after searching for months for a backing track to no avail I'd nearly given up until I came across CalikoKat's fabulous piano rendition - the one used in this recording.
