AMSTERDAM: CANADIAN SMARTPHONE MAKER Blackberry has shown off its latest QWERTY smartphone, the Q10, at the BBJAM Europe developer conference in Amsterdam today.

The phone has a physical keyboard, echoing the firm's older devices such as the Bold 9000. Blackberry said this is the largest and most rugged physical keyboard it's ever built into a smartphone, being 3 percent larger and retaining an edge to edge design.

The Q10 also touts a 3.1in touch screen OLED display and uses black backgrounds to save on battery. With 4G LTE support, Blackberry said that the Q10 also has the biggest battery yet, but failed to provide any estimates on battery life. µ
