"PACIFIC. The Japanese launch a daring invasion of the Philippines, a massive archipelago under American colonial rule. In one crucial sector, a single Japanese destroyer escorts the landing craft. American troops have already constructed an airfield and several coastal guns, but air power is limited and there are no large American ships available. The Americans must rely on their torpedo boats, which are scattered across their various island bases."
