Nick Symmonds, Andrew Wheating and Christian Smith make amazing finishes in Eugene, Oregon to capture spots on the US Olympic team heading to Beijing. One of the greatest races ever.

  • i believe you are right but i didn't mean for it to get so complicated...it still at least looked like he shot the gap like a pro

  • @iRunner15 maybe, but it didn't look clean. The guy symmonds passed was gaining on smith before symmonds switched lanes. Then suddenly he slowed down. I think a better camera would have showed contact.

  • @kozmon0t he shot the gap to get to the outside....like a pro

  • @iRunner15 that was entirely an outside pass. Nobody in lane 3.

  • @dchartier1 Ahaha yeah I see where you're coming from, but from the other way around. See, I'm one of those runners who only has slow-twitch muscles. However, for some reason I excell more in the mile than the two-mile. My 5k and 10k times are pretty damn good for my age though.

  • @zthomasack Ugh, don't even get me STARTED on my long distance times. I just have TOO MANY FAST TWITCH MUSCLES to do well at the long distances. My LIMIT is really FOUR LAPS, and I'm TRULY a TWO-LAP SPECIALIST. Besides, I play FOOTBALL in the fall.

  • @dchartier1 Haha well if your words are true than kudos to you, because a 4:28 isn't half bad. That being said, my coach wants me under a 4:37 by the end of indoor track,, before the regular season even starts ;p what about your 5k/10k time?

  • @zthomasack Without QUESTION. I'm not so great in the MILE because I have TOO MUCH LEG SPEED for the longer distances, but I should be able to PULL OUT a 4:28 RIGHT NOW with MINIMAL TRAINING. My best quarter is 52, so if I just SLOW IT DOWN to 67, which is like JOGGING to ME, I can click off a 4:28. A 4:49 is a little over 72 a quarter, which is like CRAWLING to ME. Heck, I could probably run 10 72s BACK-TO-BACK right now.

  • @dchartier1 Lmaoo can you beat a 4:49.26 in the 1600m? ;)

  • @dchartier1 TROLOLOL
