  • I am certainly no atheist, but Crossley did great, especially when compared to the likes of Peter Atkins, Lawrence Krauss, and the very overrated Sam Harris. And he did it without being condescending, arrogant, and without personal attacks.

I very much enjoyed this debate.

  • @MrProfTeach Hi, you should check out Craig's debates with Shabir Ally.

  • I give Craig 1 over Crossley for better presentation but I like Crossley's argument about the Ressurection of the saints (Mat 27:52). Here you have an example of an early story invented about the Ressurection of the dead so why could you not have also in the case of Jesus.

  • lol william lane craig is so boring and long winded I literally fell asleep, nojoke. I just woke up 30 minutes later with the laptop on top of me with william lane craig still spouting nonsense with his whining voice.

  • it could not be easier.. there is NO HISTORICAL EVIDENCE for jesus resurection. anyone who says other-wise is simply LYING.

  • OMG! That AWESOME!!! theists started to read The Bible!!! ;) I love this debates! Godbless!

  • BOTH Paul and Peter writes duly appointed human officials are to be regarded as God's servant to "bear the sword" and governors are to promote the general welfare of the community only where laws are in effect. To decieivng spirits and doctorines of demons EVERY creature of God is good.

  • @MrSnowglober: The genetic fallacy, the ad-hominem fallacy, the begging the question fallacy, the naturalistic explanatory fallacy. Is there anything else you feel like adding to the list, Mr SnowGlober?

  • I can understand some people liking Craig's extremely polished & well rehearsed presentations, although personally I find him a too formulaic & mechanical now, having watched dozens of his debates. Crossley was amateurish, but I liked his casual, unpretentious style.

But surely what they say is more important that how they say it?

I thought Crossley did very well. Craig was repetitive, he repeated points that Crossley had already refuted & ignored some of his arguments, which were very solid.

  • guy have no legs to stand on or what

  • @MrSnowglober

"all they cite are the canonical gospels, which are LITERATURE/FICTION, not empirical evidence"

You do realize that's what this entire debate is about, don't you? You're arguing in a circle here: "The evidence isn't reliable because it isn't reliable".

"they insist on using fiction to back up their argument!"

There you go I again. Let's have a debate between you and Craig entitled "Is Xianity a Fiction"? I'd love to see how you do after being called for begging the question.
