@jfv65 Well if you consider the mileage they would be doing the modern car would indeed be more polluting.... I agree on trying to make them run more cleaner and as best tuned as you get, but age aside, you would not be using these classics to fly to work and back everyday across motorways etc. But compared to the amount of cars on the road, classics are a minority still.

@1700iDiGuy because as a group classics are relatively big poluters among cars. That's why they need to be hand tuned(!) to be as clean as they can(!) be...
for instance a worn clapped out carburetor can be the cause of unnecessary extra polution.

@1700iDiGuy I think this was a touch after that. This is a 70's DS, and at least in the states, they had those requirements in by 1970. They might have done those changes all over the word just to save some cash with conversion costs and not having a separate line for just american cars.

EMMISSIONS TEST? Its a classic car with no catalytic converter whatsoever.... Designed to run on leaded fuel at the time....These classics are a minority, so why should they have to be put through an emmissions test?
