@HC3 1. He kept the camera in focus
2.. he kept the camera steady. and 3. (and most importantly) he did not use any drive by shooting angles( side way camera angle that kids and people like to use that is an utter pain in the butt) give the kid a break he did a fantastic job. Instead of pointing out his weakness try to encourage him.

Dude you broke all the most sacred rules of film making on your fist shot.
1)Pointed a cheap camera without filter directly at the sun
2)Panned and zoomed in the same shot
3)A nice big cheesy transition unmotivated by anything to the next shot.
Keep it up though!
