a short video of jeremy's baptism...
I remember the day jeremy gave his life to Christ. we were all having bible study at deegans and he had so many questions. Throughout our study of scripture it seemed that he had a good understanding that jesus was God. He understood that our human nature is sinful and that we need to be saved in order to go to heaven. I told him that God created us to be part of his family and that our sin had seperated us from him. I also told him that God loved us so much that he came to this earth, was born a man and allowed himself to die on the cross so that we could be reunited with Him and be a family again.
I asked him, Have you ever given your life to Christ? I remember very clearly he said to me, "i dont know, no one has ever asked me that before, but i dont think so". So I said, do you want to give your life to Christ now? He said "yes I do". I read to him Romans 10 and took him to the place were it says, that if you would confess with your mouth that jesus is lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, but with your mouth confession is made for salvation". I asked him if he wanted to confess Christ as his lord and He said yes.
we then prayed a short prayer with him repeating after me something to the affect of.... Lord Jesus, I believe you are God. I believe you came to this earth, died and rose again for my sin. I ask you to forgive me for my sin, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior.
I then prayed for Him. He was so pumped that day. You could tell Gods spirit had came right into his heart. a couple weeks later we were going to do a baptism and on his own initiative he was there without reservation. i could tell jeremy was real. Not because he was perfect, none of us are... or ever will be, but because he trusted Christ alone for the forgiveness of his sins and showed signs of growth in his faith. I was so stoked to hear jeremy tattooed a huge, " in God's hands" across his chest a few weeks ago. It further confirms to me that his faith continued to grow right into the presence of Jesus. I love you Jeremy. Give my regards to the king and I'll see you soon.

Everyone dies Rezbarry 7... Jeremy would tell you he's thankful he knew God. He takes responsibility for his own actions. God had nothing to do with jeremy dying. only saving him for eternity.
