Lizzie is tired of being compared to Casey.She doesn't want to be Casey, but she is not sure who she wants to be. She really admires her new step brother Derek and turns to him when George and Nora's fighting gets out of hand. She wants him to teach her how to play hockey. Derek gives up on Lizzie (like everyone else), but when Lizzie and George have a heart to heart he assures her that he will get Derek to finish teaching her. Derek realizes she has been feeling left out especially since she is the middle child, so he continues to teach her. In the end she makes Derek proud by scoring a goal, but what makes Lizzie proud is when Derek calls her "his sister", and though Derek would never admit it, he feels proud and honoured to be called "big bro" by Lizzie at the end of the episode. Lizzie now knows who she wants to be...Derek.
