  • Sean, is your copy take 6?

  • Yes! Is that a good or bad thing? I have another copy as well, but I don't know the take...

  • The audio quality is the exception in this case, car better than most examples I have heard.

Clearly the audio will not be in tune with what we have today but remember that right up until a few years ago the 5 tube AC-DC tabletop radio was standard, and this thing can keep up with it.

    Very good!

  • Hey!

    What a beautiful phonograph!!

    I also uploaded phonograph videos.

Please watch when you have the time.

By the way,Are you born in 1973??

    ME TOO!!!

  • Thank you.....I may even have it up in my attic......My Father played his records just about every sat. morning..."Cot Cot Cotton Grows"...A Little Balcony in Spain" "Singapore Sorrows" "I Had to Lose you"...I have many records and have been able to buy Sheet music on Ebay....Would love to hear "Ukulele Lou"......Thanks again

  • Jack, you should hear too the California Ramblers version on Columbia

  • My Father, Jack Le Soir, wrote the lyrics to Singapore Sorrows in his early 30's......He would be thrilled to know this wonderful song is still being heard and loved.......I am thrilled too....

  • Recorded on April 26, 1928; "take 6" was the one originally issued on #21437, 'timothy'. The others were issued on LP in the '50s..

  • Perfect record ng for this machine. Beautiful Orthophonic Credenza. Love the Tooled leather accents on the facade. Rodin, Goodman, Miller and McPartland are on this record. Pollack is the vocalist and leader (from his trapset). Sounds like take 6 Goodman's solo is different each time.

  • Thanks, Sean. I love this recording. Nice Victrola too.
