@stubbsz24 well depending on the time of year the water does rise. i used to work there. they kept that quiet .if it was a new born then its understandable .been a while since i went back to visit.my mate's one of the head primate keepers.he kept that one from me lol. they had an escape into the back of the chimp house not long ago.had to evacuate the zoo.

??never hear that one .plus the waters not as deep as you think.it only comes up to the chimp backsides.which they hate plus they know not to go near as theres an electric fence all the way round. one large female escaped a while back and got into the back of the tropical house where it had to be shot.it waded along the back wall an over.that was before the electric wire was installed..

@nastymonsters1 we saw the keepers a while after it happened in the water, was more than waist height to a man, this chimp was i think 1, so quite small. we emailed chester zoo afterwards and they said her name was riannah.
