@mcangus24 but she didnt write it. by herself. without help. and not that im doubting Madge here, but lets be honest, a majority of the time in the music industry when a song is co written... it mainly means the artist said ya I like that, lets put my name on it.

but like I said im not doubting she really did.

Im not hating on anyone in this video, im just stating some facts here.

Madge is not as original as she is given credit for.

I'd like to see you sing Express Yourself over Respect Yourself, see if they really sound alike.

Regarding "Vogueing," Madonna merely brought it from the underground. Madonna fans know and concede that she did not "originate" this. Madonna herself don't claim to be the 2nd coming of Christ (unlike some artists I know).

and Cyndi Lauper's look? Please! I don't think I've ever seen Madonna sport a carrot-colored mane... have you?

@KingJames212121 , you were just born when Madonna first burst out in the music scene in 1982 so what do you know? You take it for granted that many of the female singers nowadays are able to do what they can because Madonna did it first and took the criticism for it. Unlike you I was there and have seen the state of female artists before Madonna and after. And if you think she stole Lauper's look and act, then you don't know what you are talking about.

Madonna did write Express Yourself that's where you are wrong..

that's how artists last in the music industry...by writing their own music... just like Mariah Carey and Madonna. 

I think Lady Gaga will last because she writes her music.

Yes, Madonna got inspirations from a lot of artists ,experiences , and also Drag Queen, just like you said. Everybody is influenced by others, but THE POINT is it's Madonna who is so brilliant and smart combined all the inspirations into something HUGE...while not many artists got ideas like hers. Well I can see Gaga really learned a lot what Madonna did, I think Gaga read Madonna's stuffs as her bible
