  • your execution of the kata was terrible all the techniques may have been complete but you didnt emphasize the fast and slow parts of the kata it looked all blurred together like it was one big move

  • @ShotokanBleach I just tried to find your better execution of kata, and to no surprise found none.

  • Bear in mind that there are distinct differences between styles and various evolutions of kata. Your sensei is correct in that people both teach and learn differently, hence the evolution of kata variance leading to style variance.

  • Very different from the version my Sensei (Shorin ryu Matsubyashi ryu) taught me.

  • Who is/was your sensei? Where did you study? Matsubayashi Ryu kata do look a lot different.

  • The kata "ananku" originates from Chotoku Kyan. The kata seen here, though similar, differs quite a bit from the original.
