Does Batoning damage the knifes spine in any why if not does it hurt the edge

I havernt shown all the knives I own, in due time...but yes I own and have owned Buck models like the infamous 110 lockback as well as some newer models, I did show a review on the buck kalinga pro folder...

Use the right tool for the job! (Not this tiny knife!) I would use an axe or a saw to split/cut the plank.

for this job the knife worked fine, its not ideal, but thats the pooijt nto see how far your tool can go and be used for...I woudl not pick this knife for this job, this is just a demonstartion to its capabilities...but it does exert less energy than any manual saw....
