There are very few rules in Tigre combat, and most are enforced by a personal sense of honor. In some of the early fights at Zitlala, where opponents square off with rope clubs, there was confusion about whether striking the legs, which is seen as a cheap shot by some, was permitted. It didn't take long before all of the fighters were clubbing each others knees and thighs.
