A tribute to the late Little Feat drummer, Richie Hayward who lost his battle with liver cancer on August 12, 2010. Set to Little Feat's "Easy To Slip" off their 1972 album Sailin Shoes
Check out some of Richies playing on the Helen Watsons Album 'Blue Slipper' its just superb if you love his distinctive playing you will love this album- RIP Richie
What a great percussionist Richie Hayward was. You don't have to be anything terribly special to make a band kick ass when they're playing fast: Richie could make a band kick ass even when they were playing slow....an absolutely exceptional talent, sadly missed.
Dear Richie, I've stolen more then a few riffs over the years. Thank you for the inspiration and the chops. Man, you and Kenny.....What a rhythm section!
Great to see this up on youtube - yep richie - absolutely the real thing - the heart of the band - I really hope recognition of what he did grows - but the joy of the music and in particular this track says it all - little feat - greatest band ever -
Just discovering from my friends, I hope I don't go that way... J. Paul.
