The Cog now operates on a limited schedule -- weekends and holidays -- during winter months. So we went down to Manitou Springs on February 18, 2008 (Presidents' Day) to ride it. Due to extremely high winds and blowing snow we had to turn back a couple of miles short of the summit, at Windy Point, I think. Just ahead of us, as we stopped, we could see the rotary snow plow working. While this was a fun experience it did not lend itself well to video photography. Of course I did shoot a little bit for the record and am pleased to share that with you here.
