  • The bunny is so sweet!! I rescued a baby cottontail too when I was a teenager, she was a sweetie. Lost her to uterine cancer though.

  • Thank you for your comments! Little Miss Melvin has just turned 1 year old and is doing great; we love her very much.

  • That there cat named Sophie, looks like my cat Billie...oh yeah nice rabbit...I have issues with rabbits, sorry I can't be real excited about your rabbit

  • Don't sound pitiful..by the way, he's OUR rabbit, not just mine! You are the one who rescued him, remember? :)

  • Please keep your rabbit carefully protected. He is cute but still vulnerable to the cats. Seriously.

  • Thank you for your comment! We make sure Melvin is never alone with the cats; we are always there. If we cannot be there, then his cage goes back into his room with the door closed. We try to take every precaution necessary. Thank you for your concern and for taking the time to write.

  • soooooooooo cute!

  • Interesting that you are raising a cottie but you should realize that the bunny is food for a cat. What looked like play can easily escalate to predation. Besides, that bunny was probably shitting bricks between 2 large predators. You man well but this is not something I would encourage.

  • it's female bonding, next thing is shopping! too cute

  • What amazes me is that you raised a little cottontail... they notoriously difficult to raise and have a HIGH mortality rate when hand-raised. He looks good. Seems calm for a little cottontail... just keep him safe and sound. Cottontails are very fragile and definitely BEAUTIFUL. Only people who see them up close really understand how gorgeous they are.
