CSVT on Pass Time!!

This is Ryan Yoder's 2000 Ford Contour SVT Turbo on Speed's Pass Time. The reason he only ran a 14.9 is the day before the show, he ran the car and hyper-extended the axle. He was running on a stock axle so he was taking it easy. I apologize for the quality, I don't have a Dazzle card yet.

**EDIT!!!! I guess I need to clarify a few things for people that cannot read. As for the slow time, LOOK ABOVE!!! Also,anyone with half a brain and that knows about these cars knows that THEY DO NOT GO FAST IN A STRAIGHT LINE! Another thing. AS STATED ABOVE, THIS IS NOT MY CAR! Stop posting "My stock Honduh vee-tach can smoke your car!" I don't care. This is merely a video to say "Hey cool! A Contour SVT was on TV!" And nothing more.**

Sorry for my bluntness, anyone who honestly believes the svt contour is a good car is in serious denial of the truth. My stock 2001 audi s4 would smoke that. With just a tune it would smoke your 3l turbo setup.

that's embarassing. i love these cars, but i don't want to hear excuses, that run was crap!!! these are not drag cars, never will be, just like dumbass civics, but at least they're light. why do people do such a nice car such an injustice. the csvt was designed to carve up the twisties, not the strip. front wheel drive sucks for the strip, and so do v6s, but still nobody has figured it out.

a Boosted 3l CSVT vs a stock c5 from a DIG the c5 would win everytime.... but FROM A ROLL the c5 would get ate up. a stock c5 MPH is probably the same(or lower) as a Turbo 3l. These cars are SHIT for no traction low end. But they make up for it down the track when they actually have traction. BTW i ran 14.3 on a STOCK CSVT Tune with a 02 3L in place :)

A friend of mine let me race his cobalt ss/sc down the track & I ran a 14.1 @ 101 mph. That little thing hauls ass. I own a very low 12 second modded C6 Vette & that 14.1 still felt fast. 14.1 is not a bad time, it's just not super fast is all. For someone who's never been in a 14 second car that would feel extremely fast to them. Not trying to argue with you or anything... **I'm sure you mean't 14.1 is a bad time for this setup, & your absolutely right if that is what you meant.**
