I know Marc Bonilla, the guy in the car with Kevin Gilbert. He is
one of the best rock guitarists I have ever seen or heard. He tours with Keith Emerson, he has a band with the original drummer from "Chicago", Danny Seraphine, called the Calif
Transit Authority. instrumental versions of Chicago's coolest tunes from the first 3 albums. keyboard synthesised
horn parts played by 1 of 2 keyboardist

Priceless footage. The performance, especially the finale, shows the sheer musicianship that Kevin possessed along with his stellar companion Marc.
Everyone who knows Kevin through his music misses his tremendous talent. A modern musical genius in every sense of the word - like Lennon or Stevie Wonder.
The world generally has no clue what a gift it had in Kevin Gilbert. I hope history eventually discovers this modern genius.

gd damn he was SOO fuggin amazing l good.. .what a voice... what a talent... i cried when i heard he died i called KSCA here in LA to verify it & actually spoke with the DJ between songs and she confirmed it..... broke my heart.
Just liek SRV.. i was luck to have seen him play at a tiny club, the Torubador here in LA not long befoe he passed...
