  • how much r these dogs

  • @jameswebb01231991I don't know going prices now, but a few years ago they ranged from about $800 for companions and around $1200 for show quality.

  • I want a Pharaoh Hound SOOO BAD!! Did you get him at a rescue or a breeder? If you got him a breeder can you please tell me if you have a referrel? Cause I cant find any where I live ):

  • @XxXJoshRgXxX I got him near Portland, OR. I had to fly in and get him. The breeder is Nefer-Temu Kennels. :)

  • ....Damn it. I've wanted a pharaoh hound since I was in Elementary ....and I wanted to name it anubis , now i feel like i have to schoose a different name lol

  • @VillainousPuma Don't worry- you can still do it!! There are quite a few owners who end up naming their Pharaoh Anubis.... but no one will know :)

  • Anubis is an awesome name for an pharaoh hound XD i love how well trained he is, if everyone trained their dogs as good as that, there would probably be a lot less "bite incidents" :(

  • Thats a royal dog im getting one love their golden coat

  • I own a pharaoh named Jypsy, and have for a little over 9 years. She's an -amazing- dog, and though she's getting older she's still so full of life. :) They're a wonderful and intelligent breed... And the fact that they 'blush' makes me love my dog even more.

  • @DecemberWolf107 they do have health problems, and you might not know about it until it's too late like with my first. He was the son of the Best of Breed at the time and we still don't know what caused his deterioration.

The one I have now has had seizures. We don't know what is causing that either. Pharaoh Hounds aren't free of disease or illness.

  • I have had two Pharaoh Hounds. First was called Cairo (he has videos here) next was a rescue named Aladdin. In my opinion they are the best dogs to have ever, if you are wanting a purebred. I plan to rescue next time. In face Aladdin was a rescue.

They are NOT Egyptian. They are from Malta and genetic sequencing has discovered they are nowhere near that old

I like them because of their behavior, not where they came from. They are simply awesome.

  • @OsirisBows Osiris isn't a pharaoh, he's the God of the dead. :P The pharaoh of the Gods I think is Ra. Egyptian mythology is extremely confusing, I prefer Mesoamerican and Norse to be honest.

  • very very old breeds of dog Whippets Greyhounds and Pharaoh hounds very very smart and athletic dogs they need almost constant stimulation and exorcise and they are friendly even with strangers :)

  • Anubis. Nicely thought name, mines name is Osiris he only bows for me but I think its clever to name them after the pharaohs.

  • I'm looking to get another dog in a few years, and my mom said before I do I have to research some. I was looking to get an old english sheepdog, but my only concern with them is their eye problems. My second choice is a pharoh hound, but I was wondering if they have any known health problems.

  • It's funny, 'cause I want to have this dog.. And with the same name..:) Btw. he's really cool. :)

  • THESE AE SUCH AWSOME DOGS :DDD
