@mattxhand First off, the EVO could easily have more HP than the GTR. GTRs can be built with the recommended American Speed engines range starting as low as 300hp. Secondly, rear wheel drive with big horse power = hard to get off the line especially when you're not on drag radials and not a professional driver. Thirdly, the video cuts out very early. Who is to say the GTR didn't overhaul the EVO once it got going and was able to put it's power down? Tuned EVOs can easily run low 9s, GRTs can't!

Okay I call bullshit. How in the FUCK could an Evo beat a GTR? Not only does the GTR have gobs more horsepower and torque than the Evo, it's lighter. They usually use Porshe gear boxes as well.
I love Evos, but there is no way on fucking earth that it would beat the GTR unless it was strictly tuned for the strip and was pushing well over 530hp and the driver of the Ultima is extremely inexperienced.

pretty sure the GTR would just smash the evo by the time the cars have to TURN. silly draggers only care about boring ass straight line races anymore. the GTR is a true performance car, it can go, stop and turn. and you can put it together yourself! but half these so called "tuner car" people dont know a bolt from a screw anyways, they just take daddies money to the shop and get thier ricer "tuned" and maybe a bigger fart cannon hahaha

Ok, a strip tuned Evo vs. a track made GTR. Of course the Evo will win on the strip. Put them on a circuit track and the Evo will be sent home crying.
