In November 1972, Saigon was hopeful, wanting to belive Henry Kissenger's "Peace is at hand" speech a month earlier.

Though their dream would be shattered in 1975, the Vietnamese were ready to forget the war... at least for a day: a day at the races.

  • I lost a family member here during the TET offensive when I was 7 years old. I am just now starting to deal with his loss and I thank you, for this is the only video I could find showing the racetrack throughly. For whatever reason, there is closure seeing where he was when he was killed.

  • This is where we'd stop in the morning when we were running convoy's to My Tho, Dong Tam, Vihn Long, Sa Dec and Can Tho. We'd wait for the ARVN to sweep the road. Ha!

  • Wow, is this the race track in Saigon? If so, my father used to work here as a security guard. Wow, its so nice to see how his workplace looked. Thank you.
