  • @xiangyik The amound of rubato is the matter of pianist's taste. Chopin didn't give any metronome figures, did he. Great pianists can play better even than great composers, and they can go further than the composer in their interpretation. Not any pianist is a great pianist, not any can afford this amount of rubato - but Rubinstein certainly can.

  • Dear God FINALLY I found a recording where the pianist doesn't rush this piece - no wonder that it's Rubinstein

  • anyone else agree that the "A natural" in m. 5 is their favorite note in the whole nocturne?

  • It sounds like the Jew Rubinstein had a celery stick up his asshole when he played this. It is rubbish.

  • @88wooper88 but if those are the artists were remembered for then future ppl are going to think our generation was filled with morons... oh wait

  • Piękny!!! ¡¡bellisimo!! Beautyful!!! =')

  • @irka19851 Hell no. Chopin shows emotion in almost every piece. Metronomes make music feel robotic.

  • @666Metalbassist Don't be silly, Chopin's music was considered popular music at that time. Kesha and lil wayne will be considered as classical composers in a few century, believe it or not.

Ok mabe the ones mentionned above won't but U2, Pink Floyd, Madona, ... will be remembered as classical composers

  • Just came from Slipknot. It's always nice to listen to something more calm.

  • classical is so brilliant it makes me wanna cry, lol whats happened nowadays though, why dont more ppl appreciate MUSIC none of that kesha, lil wayne autotuned tone def bullshit

  • Une merveille!!!!

  • Rubinstein and Kissin are Gods. These men were simply born to play Chopin. Two very different men, two geniuses. Rubinstein is for lyrical part where very deep "no rush", very subtle playing is needed. And Kissin for those "fast" pieces - like etudes, maruzkas. And esp. he is simply born to play Chopin's Revolutionary etude.
