I find these videos very helpful, but I was just wondering- during which phase of your program should I be doing these climbing exercises, and should I be doing them on the same day as, say, a lower body base training workout?
I assume a total newbie to cycling would start with no weights? I can't imagine doing all those squats with 30-40 extra lbs... brutal.

these look great! tough but, effective. i probably will need to start with smaller weight.
