Beye School in Oak Park, Illinois, holds an open PTO meeting on January 19, 2010.

"Beye's gay friendliness under attack"

Illinois Family Institute opposes schools welcome of gay rights speaker.

Beye Elementary School parents were feeling under attack Friday from a post that morning on the Web site of a statewide conservative group which calls itself "pro-family."

"Until just (July 2009), the Illinois Family Institute had been listed as an anti-gay hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Just days after the organization was removed from the SPLC list, IFI's Laurie Higgins penned a piece entitled "Church Should Fight Homosexuality Like It Did Nazism"

Hope counselling for bullies and bullied victim is included on the package.

    P.S. Greetings and salutations.

  • No reason to assume that anyone is neglected in a learning environment.

In the future I would appreciate it if you would direct your comments about the issues discussed to the general viewing audience.

I have no vested interest other than to present a record of the event and to facilitate a frank and open discussion on my channel.

  • Can you post the rest of the meeting?

  • This portion of the meeting was to address concerns raised in the community. There was implicit consent that this be made public.

The rest of the evenings agenda was intended for the Beye School families and involved participation by individuals who were not asked to provide their approval for release of their image or voice recording.

Kids who are bullied may need some counselling as much as the bullies.

    P.S. Greetings and salutations.

  • dogstar7:

If that is what you want then granted, I'll address the general viewers then.

  • What political dogma are you referring to, exactly? Anti-bullying? Is bullying the political model you feel is being suppressed?
