I am native of my own country, aborigines here hate Caucasians to the very depth of our bones and to the core, they stole 100% of our land/natural resources/ and wiped out 95% of our population, they're are the main target for most Muslim terrorists, hell even African countries not welcome them. They stole all lands that does not belong to them(australia, canada, Nz and more) and what sicken me the most is they think they have the slightest right to judge and lecture others around the world.

China is the world's factory and we still produce less co2 per head then the west!
The is full of sh*t

I completely agree, go nuclear

Lets be real about one thing the people on this planet are not going to be able to survive for ever

2:57 well chinese guy china is going in the same direction as the developed countries like the usa

This doesn't take into account historical cumulative air pollution. Overall since the start of the industrial age the US has produced 3 times more CO2 than China. the average US citizen produces 4 times more CO2 than the average Chinese person.

China is the biggest consumer of iron, copper and aluminium. In the next 20 years it will add to its electricity grid more than the total US generating capacity. Most of its power will be fuelled by coal - one reason why China is the world's biggest polluter - yet it is also developing the biggest renewable energy industry in solar and wind power

westerners are real fucking scum when it comes to being hypocritical.
-
For fuck sake, go nuclear

@kathis10 No need to apologise Kathis10. I agree, the BBC are liars and Aljazeera tells more truth. Thanks for your message!

@chunggokyan: My apologies. Got your message in the wrong way.
He has been in China for a year and a half so he should know better! The problem is often that the young 'gung ho' correspondents are deperate to make their names and to be taken seriously as hard-hitting journalists. In the case of China often this means running around looking for the evidence of the 'evil communist party'. China has become almost too tame and anything that looks like a hard critical look at China is appealing to these reporters (we have them from Australia working in China too)

I think you are right, the tone is a huge rpoblem.
actually, james Reynolds is a perfect example of what happens when untrained idiots who know nothing much about the palce they are posted to are given a microphone and a camera!

Very true. I read that James Reynolds graduated from Cambridge and prior to China, he was posted to Israel by BBC. I mean, he might be well trained and experienced, but he is far from impartial. Anyway, I guess the role of news media nowadays are not the same anymore, instead of 'reporting' what's happened, they create and stir things up to make things more 'interesting'. Shame BBC does it like other commercial news channels do.

Im not so sure this is as biased as some of the commnetators think. I think he is actually criticising the western hypocricy over asking China to cut down when it is the west that consumes more and produces more pollution etc.

Thanks for your comments. Maybe you are right, maybe that's what the report planned to achieve.
Perhaps it's the choice of words and tone used that gave me that feeling:
'her ambitions are changing OUR WORLD', referring to a Chinese woman who is going to buy a washing machine.
'This is how China LIKES TO DEFEND its position'
'And China's PUNCHLINE is.......'
I am not trying to convince you, I was just explaining why I felt that way.
