Because my YouTube has certain settings, it automatically plays on HQ - not only that, but maximum height of 480px. Not all YT'ers may have that.

After each time YT makes a display change, I sometimes see that some of my older vids are no longer playing as they were before, and I try to find a way around that. I noticed that this vid., which used to play fine as-uploaded, now looks like crap; yet in the HQ-mode, seems to run as before.. YT makes all of this very difficult to manage.

Back in the early 80's (when TV stations still signed off), our cable system's antenna picked up KRON, channel 4, in San Francisco a few nights one summer once our local channel 4 station went off the air for the night. I grew up 100 miles north of Dallas, TX. I stayed up, waiting for the "station identification". It was strange watching the same episode of Johnny Carson 2 hrs after it aired locally. Used to pick up northern Mexico stations, Shreveport, Houston, and NM stations too.

I think I've seen some boston stations skipping in here (~40 miles south of NYC)... even after june 12 - I've seen multiple nightlight's on channel 2 (wcbs and something else)
