People will hate me for this, but since he left putting other's lives at risk I would have had to call the cops. If that rear set of duals blew it would be real nasty if there were any other vehicles around huh.

Yep. As a former truck driver myself, I can say that's one repair you don't leave without completing. Actually I'd think ANYBODY would know that, truck driver or not.

i was on my way to San Antonio Texas in the 14 of Feb. when the inner front drive tire blew on a rig, i pulled in right behind him and asked if he was OK. said he was, but i still helped him as his spotter with my hazzards on to help him deleaver his load of which was 20 miles down I-35. i plan on being a trucker anyway

Why did he not at least chain the stupid thing up so he would not do more damage to not only the road which a smokey just might write his ass up for but to take the wear and tear off the fricking hub? Yeah it's not "MY" truck but don't drivers think that keeping the equipment in better shape might get a raise down the road instead of throwing the bosses money on it?

He had to be "crabbing" or "doglegging" that trailer for a good while before he stopped. He should have noticed that in his right mirror! Also there should have been some obvious noise, vibration, instability, handling problems, smells, etc.
Also, if he got out of the truck, he should have done a complete walkaround to check for obvious problems, tiedowns, tarps, etc.
The trailer being a spread-axle, missing a complete pair of duals is REALLY a disaster looking for a place to happen!
