The cow didn't divide. The girl got profits from the cow which she used to buy a herd. It is called an "example". Every girl need not buy a cow.

And no, it never said that men won't do anything. But it says that a girl could do it instead of being not given the opportunity. That's the difference.

i dont think it is implying that men are incapable of doing these things.. but imagine 1person doing 1job.now imagine2 people doing that same job,how much more effecient would that job be done?women do 66% of the worlds labor.. & statistically are rising in population. the mongolians held women on even grounds with men.thats how they took over china. its the same thing that can be applied to underdeveloped countries. women make a difference when theyre allowed to thrive & not just empty space.

Even in wealthy countries such as Australia women are the second sex, they aren't paid as much as men and they aren't treated as well. Don't try and make it sound as if organisations are only helping women. The truth is that if they help women everything will change because woman are in charge of looking after their family. Men already have the ability to get education and a job in third world countries, and it is no secret that men are priorety.

I support this project all the way. Woman in developing countries should be supported by us. Also this video is so inspiring! BTW, does anyone know what song this is? I want to use the song on a project I'm doing for social justice and maybe even figure out how to play it!

I support the girl effect when applied to 3rd world countries and extreme poverty! I do not support feminism in developed countries!

I used to do volunteer work for Heifer International that did exactly that, which explains the name.

Hey fellas, before you go getting your panties in a knot over the fact that a charity is focusing on just girls, perhaps you should get your facts straight. One, we are not talking about girls in developed countries, we're talking about girls in third world countries where the idea of "women's rights," is a completely foreign concept, Women in north America fight to break through that proverbial glass ceiling while girls in developing nations fight for the right to attend primary school.

womeninworldhistory /com/mongolian8.html they were trained in combat just as men. held with rights just as men. fought along side men. they were an asset instead of a liability. THAT is how they took over so much land. because they used what they had and didnt condemn women and discourage them. they even had a right to divorce and refuse marriage on their own.

this is profound - more of a world-wide message. girls, such as boys, have lots of potential, talent and innovation. it's just about giving everyone a chance to become pro-active to empower their own communities. Kudos to the filmmaker.

to be fair, many of the countries you listed as "toilets" are so because of many, many contributing factors (including NATO backed totalitarians such as the Taliban)
