This sounds so similar to the Jacob Wetterling story. Poor Jacob was never found. Wow, it seems like a lot of people vanish in Missouri and Minnesota...I remember Angela Hammond and the Springfield Three (Suzanne Streeter, Sherill Leavitt and Stacey McCall).

4.5 years, bet they thought they would never see him again. Can't imagine how they felt when they laid eyes on him, bet she didn't let go of him for days !!

@brajames1 I know this conversation was a while ago but I just wanted to say that Shawn never had Stockholm Syndrome. He didn't tell because he was threatened into silence. He fully believed he and his whole family would be killed if he said anything. He was terrified. If he had Stockholm he would have probably tried to protect his abductor and bonded with his captor on unnerving levels, even feeling sorry for him once he was put in prison. Shawn never did.

Dear Shawn, if you are reading this, I just want to let u know that it amazes me how after what you went though, you can still do interviews and move on with your life. You are a great example to those who go what you went through. I wish you good luck in life.
