Forget the camera angle.....how about the fact that the guy who played the hell out of Zorro...can actually play the hell out of the piano!!!

Yeah seriously I agree with keyboardmagic.. even in those days they had camera angles that wonderful, a rare quality you can't find in movies today.

A great scene from a great movie. Tyrone Power was perfect for the movie. I often wonder how the movie camera captured that shot, looking through the strings below the piano. Very fascinating. I've never seen that camera angle before.

I have always wondered the same thing. Similar shots, showing the pianists hands (but not from other the strings) can be seen with José Iturbi in some MGM movies, and Alexis Weissenberg in Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano Concerto with Karajan, taken at a time when miniature cameras were not available. With miniature cameras of course anything is possible.
