can someone tell me how the gardai let her drive away with 5kids in the back off the car with no seats belts....im sure if there was a crash and one off the kids or all off them was hurt she would no problem be suing the irish gov...come on

What a waste of garda time waiting to weigh the truck wonder what crimes were happining while they were waiting! then they weigh it and hes overweight and they let him on anyway! Same with the woman and the 5 unbelted kids oh its dangerous but sure off ya go anyway!

Wow, cops are nice in Ireland. In the US the first woman would have been tazed and thrown in jail, her children taken by cps. They would have beat the shit out of the truck driver if they had to wait 30 minutes.

No doubt he was taking the piss alright there but technically he must have been entitled to the half hour break seeing as how they couldn't intervene.
I think it was nuts to go booking the woman for the kids in the back being unrestrained and then leaving her drive off again though.
That and the attempting to reverse away from a checkpoint should have been regarded as an escape attempt.
