Now I have watched the whole lecture and the Q&A, I came here with a smirk on my face like the meat eating scumfuck that I am. As I kept wacthing and listening my smirk faded away. I don't know but I have always seen vegans as commies and feminists. This Gary made me think, thats all I can say.

I fucking hate what these animals go through.

I'm a Nationalist, but maybe now in the future I be Nationalist-Vegan if that make sence.

Hey I don't know where you read grains are bad but that is a myth. Grains are great for you BUT can turn bad for you if they are processed too much. I think the main issue is that it can throw your insulin out of whack putting you at risk of diabetes. Avoid things like white bread, white rice, white pasta and other highly processed grains and go for the less processed options like brown rice, wholewheat bread and pasta, wholemeal cous cous, wholewheat flour for baking etc. and you'll be fine.

I don't think there is anything wrong with killing an animal if it is an act of survival. And best to finish the job as quickly as possible to minimise pain.

This is an amazing speech. A couple things I would add to this presentation is give a few examples of very athletic bad ass Vegans to address the protein/ nutrition myth. Also asking these kids to maybe start just eating Vegan a couple days a week. This could teach ease them into learning its not so difficult.

My take on one animal eating another is natures balance. I think its pretty obvious we shouldn't be mass producing and slaughtering nature. Being born in a factory with no chance to live a natural life?

The animals you speak of eat their natural diet. Humans don't. Just look at Oreos and Twizzlers, fro example, which are vegan but far from natural. Humans are likely herbivores that evolved to be able to digest some meat to survive times of famine. An ability that has probably not been necessary since the dawn of agriculture. Humans are the only animal to have the choice and the ability to choose not to kill to eat. We are supposed to be the smartest and most compassionate animal on the planet.

That's nature? They're carnivore's so their system probably won't work too well if they'd become vegan? Humans are not carnivores, so there's no comparison to make

I noticed he removed his "What's Wrong with PETA" essay from his website. Do you know anything about that?

If I was trapped on an island, I still don't think killing an animal for food is the only chance at survival. If there's animals on the island then there's defiantly plants/fruits there. It would be much simpler to just gather some plants and fruit then making some weapon to kill an animal, then build a fire to cook it. But keep in mind, 99% don't have to worry about that happening. We have grocery stores. :)
