I have goats, and a significant patch of aquaponic beds (veg and fishes.) I get an insane amount of food, and yeah, I eat the animals too. How would I grow such an amount without using the nature already in place? THAT is my only argument against this.

I do agree with him about killing your own food. If you are not willing to carry the responsibility of your actions then you don't deserve to eat the meat of that life. Having someone do it for you and turning a blind eye is absolute cowardice.

I've been a relentless meat eater for 25 years, a vegetarian for 3 years and today I am a Vegan. Great speech, Gary. Is their any chance of you doing the rounds in Australia? We have a very dominate meat eating culture here that is highly coupled to jingoism (search youtube for "Sam Kekovich"). There has been a lot of animal cruelty cases coming to light here recently but people here are still very misinformed by our media, government, doctors, education system etc.

@AlexGraphicD1 jaque fresco didn't made the experiment, a guy named bose did it, that experiment its mentioned i the book "the secret life of plants" and its been debunked over and over again by real scientists. plants dont feel pain, plants give us their fruits becouse they want us to eat them and spred their seeds, you cant compare the life of animals with plants, animals are sentient beings, i dont belive that jacque's ideas are bad ideas, but i think he is an idiot.

We both are against the inhuman meet slaughterhouses and the system in general. Just because there might be evidences that plants feel more pain than animals do that doesn't mean that we should kill animals. We 're not saying that

@veganskator First of all, i am a member of ZM and VP. What you are saying is totally false. It is not that "they believe" plants feel more pain than animals. It's that Jacque Fresco made an experiment in a lab and came to that conclusion. Not simply because he "believes" so. Now, i am not saying it's ok to kill animals. Everything in this planet is a living organism even the Earth. But in order to survive we have to eat something and it is better and healthier to eat plants than animals.

@RafaNuke I don't know whether we are omnivores or herbivores, but it really doesn't matter. Omnivores do fine on only plant foods. Lions are probably carnivores though, so a plant based diet would not do it for them. I believe if you have to eat animals to survive, then you obviously have the right to, but it is not necessary at all for humans. Killing should happen as little as possible and when we would do good without it (or even better), I think that is the way to go.

i don't c how u can solely feed a dog non-meat products. their digestion, teeth, nutrient needs etc. are all designed for meat. if u want ur animal friend 2 b healthy, & they've been domesticated (unlike cats) for centuries to be incapable of surviving on their own, then u gotta kill / pay to kill some animals for them. if u disagree, can u give me scientific empirical data proving dogs to be 100% healthy on vegan diets?
