@ckekinit Certainly they'll sell it for the best price. At least the supply will be located in a slightly more politically friendly country. We also wouldn't be sending our money to governments run by people who hate our guts.

@AlienWebguy Where does the electricity for the car come from? Where does the French car get the power for the compressor for the compressed air? You have to reliably generate power and wind and solar can't do it.Those 2 sources can provide maybe 10% of our required power. What the heck are you going to do to generate the rest

think of it this way. if you have a meth habit, and your dealer is an ass, do you make your own meth lab or realize meth is bad and look for better ways to enjoy life?

why are you all so broke? i make 85k developing websites using skills i acquired from self-study. my point was that the government has tons if borrowing power and can either fund more drilling or fund new technology research and development so clean cars wont have to cost so much. think outside the box already...

While I agree that clean energy is better... no one right has any money to go out and buy a new car, much less one that's more expensive. Plus, even if they were more assessable, would the entire nation really want to switch over to a different sort of car? People's cars currently, right now, run on gas. And to have gas, you need oil. And at the moment, we're being supplied by oil from countries that kind of hate us. I agree clean energy is better, but its not in the cards atm

Oh... btw it's working. I just paid $3.59/gal today and that was the lowest gas station in my city of near 1 million people.

This guy can't be for real. Old politics and old ideas coming from an old man.
Tesla Motors has a 100% electric car that goes 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds. It goes about 250-300 miles on one charge, and takes about 3-4 hours to recharge in a standard wall outlet. France developed a car that runs on compressed air and gets over 800 miles to the tank, with a top speed of over 90 mph. Clean technology is available, and THAT is what needs funding...drill here...give me a break. Wake up, people.
