LOA: The Rap

Yeah we know this is a classical school
and believe me, we thinks that really cool,
but you know, I think its time for a rap duel.
two years ago, we stole the show,
with a little Juliet and Romeo,
last year, we made you all laugh to death,
with the funny sad story of poor Macbeth.
this year at Live Oak we're gonna give you a song.

We've got all these kids and me, Jordan Kwong
so the ladies and gents of LOA,
wanna show you our school in a whole new way...

Hey, Its just another day,
with 6:30 mornings and LOAyyyyyy,
7:30 my minds spinning in my head
as latin haunts me like a ghost even though its dead.

We think Mr. D is a better leader,
than the Rowdy Roman Emperor Julius Caesar,
because if he was Caesar we'd all be dead,
cause veni vidi vici is all he said.

It's 8:30 and I haven't eaten breakfast,
Walker and me, what am I'm being tested?
I can't comprehend these mathematical methods,
so I wait till 10:30, where PE relieves my stressin.

11 oclock, and we're pledging allegiance,
God bless America, it's Him who sees us,
then we're singing "little ones to him belong"
I look to my right, Mr. D is grooving to the song

He gets up, and reads from God's Word,
we know its the truth, and it ain't absurd.
after we've been spirit-ually refreshed,
we realize that it ain't quite time for recess.

Into history it is,
Where Luoma has a quiz,
about old guys,
how they died and how they lived.
The Revolution went down,
and what have we found?
General Washington, he didn't clown around.

Here, Western Civ, is what we breathe, is how we live
Plutarch, Vergil, and Justin Martyr,
all of these greater than President Carter,
Athanasias, Chrystostom, and Benedict too,
Calvin, Rousseau, Marx, and Hume,
remember Cogito, Ergo Sum!

Now its time for lunch, what should I order?
Corn dog, Chicken Bake?
Chicken Bake or Panini?
hmm, I wonder what Mr. D is eating?
but as Mrs. Sheffield says,
"I always know when you're cheating!"

But it's time to leave,
and go up to Uncle Lee
where we study the facts of life,
and chemistry, theology, or wait? was it biology?
ahem... sorry Lee...my apologies

Anyway, the page turns to Mrs. Wheat,
she's an amazing lit teacher that can't be beat,
so we take our seats, and Mrs. Sheffield Walks by
and by the look in her eye I know "I shouldn't cheat!"

We read all about the Scarlet Letter,
Our vocabularies are getting even better.
So now let's crankin' with a little Ben Franklin,
and devote our affection to achieve moral perfection.

so join LOA, I really think you should,
the cafe food is actually really good,
cause we know definitely how to have a great time,
and as you can see, we've been taught how to rhyme,

By the wondrous Mrs. Wheat, (YO MOM!)
and all the other teachers, (THE BOMB!)
deserve our endless respect! (COME ON!)
they are such wonderful creatures. (YA HUH!)

Here at live oak we have so much diversity,
it's almost like a microscopic college university,
if you're lost you can always look up to Mr. D,
or learn from your mistakes by studying some history.

Here at Live Oak its like we're down on our knees,
begging for just a few more APs,
I say "I'm already taking three mother!"
she's says "I don't see no reason why you can't take another."

You see these guys? They are my brothers...
It's no surprise, at Live Oak we love eachother!

LOAyyy is where you should go,
people here averaging the 4.0
we've got a Mr. Rose, Mrs. Rose,
Miss Rose and what? another Mrs. Rose?
Whoa, that's just how the Live Oak family grows.

So we'll say goodbye, now we've said it,
remember these lines and don't forget it,
what the kids of Live Oak had to say,
we hope to see you next year at LOAyyyyyyyy!
