yea but animals do want to live , if you try to catch one they flee for there lives because there frightened , if you hurt an animal it will cry out in pain , just because you cannnot understand them or they dont have the same ability's as us to defend ,speak out aginst things done against them and there families (yes family's bow chica wow wow) lets remember animals are living the natural life which we were meant to live yes eat meat and plants but not as something we can manufacture

@Ollie7707 I made no such claim that cows, or cats are human. Nor would i argue something so clearly false. I am arguing that all sentient creatures with a central nervous system feel pain and suffering and that it is a bad thing to impose this pain and suffering on them needlessly. I think you can agree that suffering is the worst feeling that is possible for a being to experience. I would not support the meat farming of humans by an alien race, nor do i support humans doing the same

Well, bottom line is that animals aren't people. they're below us on the food chain. I'm sorry you feel this way about meat-eating, but this is the cold hard truth. Not all killing is wrong, some is natural. I have a feeling that you are going to keep throwing the old "animals are people too!" thing in my face, but they're not. End of story.

@Ollie7707 Great, you agree that humans are assigning value to other feeling creatures well being. Unfortunately the selfish self interest of an individual does not justify its harmful actions towards others. Also suggesting that i, "get over it" is not a valid counter argument to imposing suffering. Imagine a serial killer trying to use that line in court...I dont think that would work with the judge/jury. You have any more garbage i can throw out?

Laws protecting housepets are in place for the humans' benefit, because they paid money for their pet and have grown to love it. Cows and chickens are not pets. It's the way of the world. I suggest you get over it.

@Ollie7707 If youd like to base your morals on a dictionary then i'd also like to point out that dogs, and cats, are also not of the human species. So why are there laws in place to protect them? I'll tell you why.. Because humans assign value to other feeling organisms. Humans say, "well these animals are furry and fun to play with so we will keep them in our house as entertainment." "Oh,and these animals over here taste good, so its perfectly fine to kill them." Hope that didnt hurt too much:(
