It is okay with the Penny-Whistle, it works just fine. But consider this, if you can play the Penny-Whistle, even a little, you´ll also be able to play the Recorder, but switching the hands will not work on the Recorder, & you will haven gotten into a "bad" habit. + Left-handed people play the Piano, Pedal-Steel Guitar & many other instruments without having to reverse hands.

just picked up a Tin Whistle for the first time. While learning the scales, I am finding difficulty going to the D, E and F# from the upper notes without making alot of squealing. I would imagine it is my blowing, but could there be another reason...?? Also, to get clean sounding notes, I feel like I am barely blowing at all.....is this normal??? Any other tips for a piper learning the whistle??? can you help please thank you

Is it acceptible to have my hands up side down? As in, having my right hand on the top? thanks.
