Hey did you ever catch it in the end? I hooked a 2 foot one today, and when we were going to grab it, it was on the shore, and it pulled fast and it broke my 12lb test line! Good thing I hooked it on the tail....You think it will come out by itself?

He finally broke the line at the end. You can only see his head at the very beginning. Yes your hook will eventually come out on its own.
