I took my GL1800 GoldWing down to the drag strip just to see what it could do. I got spanked by a couple of the high end drag bikes but I kept up just fine with the rest.

Very cool!!..These bikes can hold thier own for sure. Probably faster then most cars on the road..and definately holding up decently to the race cars/bikes. I've got an '02 1800 that's just fast enough for me, although I wouldn't take it out to the track, its way cool to see how they just might hold up..nice to hear you wiped the smiles off the racers' faces.. Good job.

Cool vid, I liked seeing your times get lower as you ran, except that freak 3rd run.

@mrpotatoheadracing I blew a shift on that 3rd run. It was a lot of fun and if it wasn't so hot, I would have made a few more runs down the track. I have made a few 140mph runs on the open road too. The bike can really move for its size and comfort.

@vivitar45 Not really very hard on the bike. I am not over revving at the start or dumping the clutch. It isn't like I do it all the time. It was a total of 8 rapid starts. Nothing more than I might do on the open road for fun.

@schworak screw them... i for one am actually impressed that this heavy ass bike can actually make those numbers. still faster than most cars and... small sport bikes..

@mitchellberry The guys I ran against were chuckling when I rolled in. Then after the first run not so much and after the second run not at all. Even they were impressed. I was the only street legal bike there and it was just to see how it could do. Would have done better with a few more runs. I was getting the shifting dialed in but it was too hot that day for me.
