This flood wall runs along the east bank of the Mississippi. It is Approximately 1.5 miles long and about 20ft high. The city of St. Louis started holding graffiti competitions in the early 90's in an attempt to steer graffiti artists away from building. Word got out quickly about the new competitions and by the second or third year artists from around the country were showing up to make their mark on STL.
