The Chancellor of Soul, Mike Boone pictured with legendary artist, Eddie Holman, backstage at the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY.
'This Will Be A Night To Remember' composed by Ron Baker and Ron Tyson (formally from the Philly group the Ethics and later The Temptations) was recorded at the legendary Sigma Studios in Philadephia on October 27,
1976 and charted No. 25 on Billboard's R&B Singles, in the spring of 1977. Issued as a 12'' inch single in June 1977. A masterpiece dance classic and one my favorites
on Salsoul.
1977: Ah, such memories!

What a crowd pleaser in NYC, more than in San Francisco. New Yorkers loved this song and loved to dance to it. Thanks for this post. Don't ever take it away. Just play it and dance - Mr. Holman would like that.

Great song! Any song on the Salsoul label was a big hit back in the day of great dance music. Thanks for this post.
