  • It's easy to sit and discuss the existence of God while people on earth die...Get over yourselves....non-believers, you're never gonna get it, because you'll never want to get it. But you'll never be able to prove it....and believers, If God exists, He doesn't need us to defend Him. Pass this video around and maybe watch it yourself one more time, everyone...if Jesus does separate us, it won't be for who can argue the most about him...it's about helping others. Let's do everything we can.

  • Very thoughtful position.

I like his way of relating HIV (now) and leprosy (ancient) in the way people respond to them.

to the rest, remember not to feed the trolls.

they post hardly related comments to high value content in the hopes that people will engage them in their delusions. (referring to the delusion that intelligent people want continued contact with them)

the best way to deal with trolls is to ignore them.

  • @2timothy23 My last statement to you, because you sit in a seat of judgement without knowledge of that which you judge.Romans 14: 3,4 "Let not him who does not eat judge him who eats for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and stand he will for the Lord is able to make him stand." Consider yourself rebuked.

  • @2timothy23 John 7:24 "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." You know nothing about his private life. And you certainly know nothing about his words. He's never said there are "other ways to him" and in fact, said quite the opposite. You declare yourself "better than Bono" by declaring him unsaved and you have no knowledge of the status of his salvation. Your invocation of the Holy Spirit to declare him unsaved is heretical at best, and self-righteous at least

  • @MrSgtYork Don't be misled to think we are not to judge-we are to not judge self-righteously. I am not better than Bono or claim to be. He has made statements about God before saying there are other ways to Him. He promotes helping the poor, yet enjoys a worldly, sinful life. Believers of Jesus aren't adored by the world, that's unbiblical. Anyone can say they believe in Christ, but we must check their words and understanding of God to discern truth from error, not just good works.

  • @MrSgtYork I am not judging Bono based on my opinion, but by the Bible. It's not what I deem Christian, but the what the Bible says. Just because someone says they're a Christian and uses the right terms doesn't mean he has a true understanding. I don't know bono personally, so, I too have to judge his actions and his doctrine. The moment you speak about God, you become a theologian and we have to check the Bible to see if what Bono says is true, and most of his words and acts are not.

  • @2timothy23 If you are wrong, then it is you who is unsaved through the commission of the one unforgivable sin. You quote 1 John 15 and yet, it is clear Bono's actions are based on his love for the Almighty. He does not love the world so much as he loves those in it: "The least of these" as he himself says. He says he believes in Christ as the Messiah. I take him as his word. You have no right to judge him otherwise. Yours is an unforgiving and cold-hearted spirituality that knows no grace.

  • @2timothy23 I am deciding based on his word. You are doing two things: Judging his actions because they do not match behavior you would deem "Christian" and claiming that you are using the Holy Spirit to discern his being unsaved. It is possible that by invoking the Holy Spirit to make ignorant condemnations, you are blaspheming the Holy Spirit, and this is literally an unforgivable sin. If I am wrong, then I would rather err on the side of caution, taking him at his word.

  • @MrSgtYork While you are correct that I shouldn't decide who is saved, I can discern through the Holy Spirit and the scriptures who may not be. Bono fits into this category because of his understanding of God, Jesus, and the Bible. He also is very worldly, which 1John 2:15-17 and James 4:4 speaks against. Bono is also a social gospel type, thinking your good works = a relationship with Christ. Plus, you proclaimed him saved yourself in your reply, so aren't you deciding as well?

  • @johnmarkcoon the only separation Christ will be an instrument of is whether one is saved or unsaved. And that has nothing to do with defense of Faith or charitable works or even "social justice". If you accept Christ as the Messiah, then what you do from that point on is based on whatever motivation you take from being saved. Ideally, one will be motivated by gratitude (for salvation) to do charitable works, and motivated by loyalty to defend the Faith.

  • @2timothy23 You need to be very careful about who you decide who is "saved" and who is "unsaved". I am willing to bet money that you are unaware that U2 almost broke up in their early days because Bono, Edge and Larry wanted to continue in their spiritual studies. Paul Hewson (Bono) claims a belief in Christ as his Savior. This means he's saved, and if God decides Bono is not, that's His business...and it's none of ours. Nothing Bono says in this interview goes against scripture.
