Aside from that, NASA's annual budget is spent a hundred times over killing people in Afghanistan and Iraq. I know we've 'officially pulled out' of Iraq, but the spending continues. NASA's TEN YEARS budget of ~$180 billion is cookie crumbs compared to the $1300+ billion we spent on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan starting from 2001. Add in what we paid Haliburton to rebuild all the stuff we bombed and you can probably triple that number.
