Wake Up, Scotty Walker!

A protest song written by an out of state Badger, in solidarity with the workers in Wisconsin, and across the country, whose bargaining rights are being threatened by Republican governors. This was a rough and ready recording, forgive the warts. I also wanted to post this right away so I didn't create a photo montage for the whole song. That would have taken me too long. I may still do that later. We'll see. Keep the Faith, Brothers and Sisters!

Governor Walker is using the democratic process of our established Republic to close a $137 million (well $3 B) budget gap via stripping public union members of their collective bargaining rights and having them contribute a small amount to their exorbitant salaries, benefits, and pensions still less their counterparts in the private sector. watch?v=7tck77z3x0I & watch?v=PiNIbbp67pE

Badger power everywhere??? Really? I live in Wisconsin, the majority actually support the bill. Ever heard of the silent majority and the vocal minority? It's not Badger power, it's union power. Who else could afford to bring people in to the capital by the bus load and force schools to close?? Maybe you should wake up!!!

@jmanthebarbarian...Interestin­g. The vast majority (all but ONE to be precise) of the people *I* know are STRONGLY opposed to what Walker and the Fitz boys are doing, so I guess it depends on what kinds of circles one travels in.

I live in Milwaukee, and what people outside of Wisconsin don't understand is that the VAST majority is in favor of the bill. Walker cannot be recalled just because a bunch of teachers who want their pensions but don't want to pay for them sign a petition. Wisconsin has long been Democrat-heavy, and the Republicans never ran away because things weren't going their way. They stayed, and they lost, because that's how the people VOTED. The hard decisions aren't always popular, but they are needed.
